ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2019, Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, establishes minimum ventilation requirements and criteria for commercial and institutional buildings. As the industry's most recognized standard on indoor air quality, it has historically guided design and compliance efforts.

The "HVAC ASHRAE 62.1" iPhone application offers a comprehensive tool for calculating minimum ventilation rates across various types of commercial buildings, compatible with both the 2016 and 2019 editions of Standard 62.1. Users can select the appropriate version per project, facilitating alignment with LEED standards and other compliance frameworks.

The application builds upon the functionalities of the "62MZCalc.xls" spreadsheet included with the corresponding 62.1 User’s Manual (2016 and 2019 editions). It replicates most spreadsheet features while providing additional advantages:

<li>Allows seamless toggling between imperial (IP) and metric (SI) units.</li>
<li>Enables selection of calculation standards based on either the 2016 or 2019 versions of ASHRAE 62.1.</li>
<li>Includes additional features aimed at improving usability and efficiency.</li>
</ul>

The app is complemented by comprehensive online help resources. Support services, including upcoming video tutorials, are accessible via the support link on iTunes.

Updates to the application will be issued periodically, incorporating user feedback and aligning with future revisions of the ASHRAE 62.1 standard.
